What we like:

  • little preparation
  • ability to form teams

Steps

  • Provide each team with a set of "character presentation sheets"
  • Build small teams
  • A volunteer stands in front of the rest of the group. He secretly chooses a character from among those presented on the cards, or draws it from a pile of cards.
  • The different teams must take turns asking a question in English about the fictitious person. The interviewee must answer in English. Examples:
  1. How old are you ?
  2. How many siblings do you have?
  3. What animals do you have?
  4. What do you like to do ?
  5. ...?
  • The first team to guess correctly must raise their hand and say in English "Your name is...". If the answer is correct, the team earns a point and a next volunteer comes to draw a new character card.
  • Be careful if teams tend to ask the same questions all the time, it is possible to prohibit certain questions to encourage them to think.
