Goal:

Getting to know each other, communicating with each other.

...

What we like:

  • Little preparation
  • Ability to form teams
...

Warning:

  • Make groups of mixed ages so that the older ones help the younger ones.

Steps

Divide the group into several teams, at least 8-10 young people per team.

General idea :

The facilitator gives a word to "write", common to the different teams, for example:

  • EDUCATION (for teams of 9 people minimum because 9 letters in this word)
  • SPORT (for teams of 5 people minimum because 5 letters in this word)

Then he gives the instruction: each child will physically represent a letter of the word. Everyone must therefore find a common point between themselves and a letter of the word, for example:

  • Sophie will represent the letter S because it is the 1st letter of her first name
  • John will represent the letter P because he has Pants
  • Marie will represent the letter O because she has Orange glasses

Organisation: the facilitator lets the children question themselves and organize themselves as quickly as possible. Depending on the number of letters in the word, of course, some young people will not participate in the "writing" but they are part of the debates to choose the people who represent the letters. It is therefore necessary to communicate as quickly as possible with those of your team to determine the criteria for selecting the person who will represent a letter.

  • People-letters organize online.

The winning team: the first correctly positioned team (in line) will present each person-letter of the word. The referee can validate or invalidate the choices.

The other teams listen and get ideas for the next round.

We start again with other words. The 2nd sequence is always simpler, since all the young people will have viewed the instructions for the first time. You can give free rein to your imagination to find all sorts of criteria according to age and size.

CONCRETELY :

  • On what criteria is it easy to select a player to represent a letter?

initial of: the color of a garment, the first name, the adjective describing the person, the clothes worn, ...

FOR FURTHER :

  • How did you organize yourself as quickly as possible?
  • Has a leader declared himself? Has everyone been able to find their place, their role to play? Was there mutual aid between the adults and the children?

#team #others

  • Teamwork: On the other hand, in this game we see a leader emerge, who organizes his team as quickly as possible, we hear ideas coming out from players who are a bit like the leader's assistants. Finally, we see players who quickly execute the leader's instructions to win. It takes everything to make a team work.
  • Negative teamwork: in this Word online game, it is not uncommon to see that some players are only very little present in the words written physically by the team.

For example more shy players, smaller players who are pushed aside by the older ones,...

  • Selfishness does not make you happy: in everyday life, each time we act, we have to ask ourselves the question of the purpose of my actions “Why am I doing this? ". The correct answer is “To achieve what is good” (question of the finality of acts). In life, it is important to act with justice, to act justly. This means that I must not act according to what is right for me (individualism) nor only according to what is good for others. The just place of the one who acts respects others and the common good

I must not think only of myself, otherwise the whole society is lost.

  • This kind of justice does not only concern the court and the State, it concerns each of us: it is because each person acts well that the world will become fairer.

Good advice: Remember that there is no real happiness without regular attention to others!
