What we like:

  • The fact of having to remember the first names of his comrades amused them a lot
  • Great activity for a first

Steps

  • In a circle, everyone must introduce themselves by adding an adjective to their first name that begins with the same letter as that first name. The adjective should sound like it.

Ex: “Hello everyone, my name is Thomas Shy…. »

  • The next one must then repeat the adjective and noun of the previous one(s), before introducing themselves.

Ex: “Hello Thomas shy and wonderful Marie, my name is Véronique voyageuse”

  • The last person in the circle will therefore have to memorize and restore all the adjectives and first names of the people in the group!

CONCRETELY :

  • Why is it difficult to memorize all the information?
  • Were you surprised by some adjectives? Which ?

FOR FURTHER :

  • Were you slow or quick to come up with an adjective that sounds like you? Why ?

#self-awareness #memorisation

  • Difficulty: It's never easy to find adjectives that suit us: sometimes we don't have an idea because we haven't thought about it, because we don't know each other well, because we don't couldn't find one that starts with the same letter as our first name...! It is a difficult exercise.
  • Advantages: it is important to know how to describe yourself or to describe something you like to do. A simple adjective is very short and it allows you to quickly know who we are, our opinion.
  • During a job interview, often the employer asks to name 5 qualities and 5 faults. You have to know how to describe yourself and then explain in more detail how you use these qualities, these faults, in your work.
  • In personal life, if I know that I am "shy", and that I say so, others will be able to help me progress.

If I know that I am "lonely" and that others know it, they can sometimes leave me alone so that I can be quiet, and also help me out of my loneliness on certain occasions.

  • This allows you to know where you want to improve. If we do this exercise regularly, we can see our progress.

Good advice: know yourself!

  • The girls already knew each other well, instead of introducing each other they introduced their neighbor (name, age, what she likes/what she is strong for). A good way for the bamboo to introduce itself and become familiar with the children but also to practice speaking.
  • A beautiful, simple but very exciting activity for young people. The fact of having to remember the first names of his comrades amused them a lot. In addition, it allows everyone to look at others, and sometimes for the first time. The adjectives chosen "say" a lot about their personality. Great activity for a first meeting!
