Equipments

  • Papers
  • Pencils

...

Goal:

...

What we like:

  • Hilarous game
  • Possibility to play at 40!
  • Very dynamic game
  • Complete "Trivial Pursuit" + "Presentation of France"
  • One of the most popular games
...

Warning:

  • Teams to space out so as not to hear the others
  • Be discret

Steps

  • Divide the players into several equal teams. The facilitator stands in the center of a fictitious circle, each team is on a point of the circle.
  • The leader has a list of about ten proper names (famous characters, fictional heroes, character from the players' entourage)

Variation: give lists of words by theme: school / country / ...

Have the mime guess a list of words, going faster than the other teams.

The ambassador relay is a game of mimes. The game leader has a list of words to act out.

  1. He calls one ambassador per team to tell them the first word to guess (or give them a word tag).
  2. The ambassadors then leave to mime this first word, each in their team.
  3. In each team, the first player who guesses the mimed word, runs to tell the game leader.
  4. ... And so on.

If an ambassador wants to "pass" because he can't get the mime to guess the word, he must go back to the host to receive a second word to guess. No other pledge than to have wasted time

CONCRETELY :

  • What criteria did you mimic to have your character recognized?
  • an event related to his life; a typical gesture; disabilities ; a way of walking; ...

FOR FURTHER :

  • What happens if you mimic someone's disability?
  • What happens if you mimic characters such as the president, the prime minister?

Laws :

  • In some countries, mimicking political figures and expressing what one thinks of them is impossible because the consequences could be very difficult: trial, imprisonment, conviction.
  • In other countries, open criticism of politicians is allowed as long as it is decent.
  • It is the laws that authorize or not this type of expression.

Public opinion :

  1. Disability :
  2. In some countries, mimicking a disabled person is not shocking, like in Thailand for example.
  3. On the other hand, in other countries, in France for example, mimicking a mentally handicapped person is badly perceived. It's the same thing for most disabilities, which are not often mimed by comedians because a Frenchman would see it as mockery.
  4. The look :
  5. If we call a child "hey, fat!" in Cambodia, no one will be shocked.
  6. On the other hand, the same nickname in France will be considered shocking, demeaning.
  7. It is public opinion that authorizes or not these types of expression.

Public opinion can be influenced by:

- the culture of a country, the traditions of the inhabitants of a country for several generations.

- religions, each of which distinguishes between what is good and what is bad.

- the media, which choose to highlight a product (a brand of car, for example) or a way of thinking (is it good for women to smoke cigarettes?), depending on the financial advantages they derive from it.

Good advice: when you see that a foreigner is doing something that is not suitable in your country, find a way to tell him, it will help him: most of the time, he does not know that it is shocking for locals#opinion publique #codes oraux
