In the simplest situations, we can make mistakes, it happens to everyone. Whether it's with family, at work, with our friends, we can misunderstand a request, or carry it out incorrectly because we haven't taken enough care because of our fatigue. These situations are the easiest to resolve: to achieve this, you must first be aware of them, then know how to ask for forgiveness if necessary and repair the error made.
For example, a young person who had to prepare the meal for everyone else fell asleep instead of cooking. His comrades had to cook for him. A simple way to fix this mistake is to thank those who replaced it and offer to cook the next day for them.
Some situations are complex, difficult to solve. You can choose not to carry out a request if you find it unfair. But how do you know what is right or what is not right?
For example, my educator asks me not to use the phone after 9 p.m., is that fair? Or, my boss asks me to participate in a case, but I know that I will have to enter a system of corruption, is that fair.
It's hard to know what's right and what's not. We live in society, so it is important to be able to live well with others. Justice does not depend only on me, on my desire. The virtue of justice is the virtue that makes it possible to respect the good of others and the common good by fighting against selfishness. This requires courage, because sometimes we would first like to work for our particular good.
There are two simple laws: "do good" and "do no evil". It is the 2nd law which is the most difficult because it often forces us to fight against our selfishness, to think of the good of society before my personal good.
The virtue of justice makes it possible to live well in society.
