Tranche d'âge: 7-25 ans

Équipements

  • a stool, or equivalent in height (sticks planted on the ground can do the trick)

...

Through a fun sports game, understand the notions of excess and measure

...

Ce que nous aimons:

  • Game made with two cans of water
  • Giggle guaranteed!

Étapes

  1. Distribution of young people into teams (maximum equivalent and mixed)
  2. Place them on a starting line
  3. Position one stool per team on a parallel line, located at least 5-6 meters away
  1. At the starting signal, the first player of each team runs towards the stool, puts his index finger in the center and turns around 5 times, without detaching his finger from the stool. He then runs to give the start to the next player on his team; clapping him in the hand.
  2. So on until the last player or until the time runs out.
  • If the teams all have the same number of players, then the first team to finish the relay wins.
  • If the teams do not have the same number of players, then the team that passed the greatest number of players in 5 minutes wins.

CONCRETELY :

  • Why is it difficult to turn around the bottle?

risk of falling, dizziness, difficulty counting turns, disorientation, ...

FOR FURTHER :

  • To make your team win, do you have to go very quickly or on the contrary very slowly, when you turn around the stool?

#temperance

  • 5 turns with balance: This is a question of temperance and moderation, because a player who does not sufficiently master his 'dizziness' risks falling or staggering, thus wasting time for his team. The good of his team (= victory) depends on the measure with which he will play, especially when turning around the stool
  • Virtue of temperance: to act with temperance is to use the pleasures that life offers with moderation. This can be reflected in many areas of our lives: work, sleep, games, food, relationships, shopping, travel, ... We must neither too much nor too little

Example: A father has set himself the goal of earning $10,000 in three years. He works day and night for 3 years, and manages to achieve his goal. However, during this time, his son committed crimes and ended up in prison. He falls seriously ill himself. If he had not worked so much (excess, TOO much work) he could have avoided these two misfortunes. Moral: His primary objective was good, but he did not take into account all the consequences of excess, and forgot his son and his health. He had not sought balance in his life, he had not displayed the virtue of TEMPERANCE.

  • Too much or not enough: pleasure is necessary to live, it's what gives the taste for life, motivation. You have to learn to master it, find the right balance between too much pleasure and not enough. When I feel pleasure in doing something, it's because my act is good, pleasure is a good indicator.

Good advice: Always remember what your goal is!
