Steps

  • Students sit in a circle on the floor so that everyone can see them.

1) The first student begins to throw the game by throwing their left hand from left to right making a 'slurp' (the sound of someone eating a watermelon), so that the palm of the hand is facing the ground.

2) As his hand went from left to right it is up to the person on his right to play.

3) This person has 3 possibilities:

  • either make with his left hand palm down the gesture from left to right too, and it will be to his neighbor on the right and so on
  • either make with your right hand the gesture from right to left palm down and then you change direction and it's back to your neighbor on the left
  • either make the gesture from bottom to top vertically and then we keep the same direction but its neighbor on the right is skipped and it is to its 2nd neighbor on the right.

4) The important thing when making the gesture is to follow the direction and use the correct hand.

5) This is a very funny game of speed and attention.

6) Little by little, we go faster and faster, and when we change direction or jump a person, a second of inattention and we lose!

7) When one of the players has lost 3 times, he has a pledge.

8) The slurp noise is very important and allows you to build up the pressure little by little...

CONCRETELY :

  • How did you experience miming and making the sound of "sluuurp"?
  • shyness, exaggeration, laughter, stress, ...

FOR FURTHER :

  • Was having to mime and make the "sluuurp" sound a distraction that made you make mistakes?
  • Have you experienced similar situations where stress or shyness made you lose your way and made mistakes? How to cure it ?

#stress management #concentration

  • Stressful situations: The stress of performing in front of a group or at an important moment can make us lose our means. In the Watermelon game, a simple noise can sometimes already distract us. It is therefore quite normal that sometimes an audience or a moment of pressure in front of us stagger!

For example, facing the exam sheet, we forget everything we have learned, everything suddenly seems very complicated

  • Stress management: it is important to review our lifestyle habits in order to discuss the balance we can find despite the pressure. - Sleep well: go to bed early and avoid screens before bedtime. - Exercising regularly. - Eat in a healthy and balanced way. - Have a favorite activity that allows you to clear your head but which remains controlled, from which you can get out without nervousness

Good advice: Focus on the mission at hand and take care of yourself!
