Steps

Remain the last one on the playing mat, the others having fallen.

  1. The mat is spread out on the floor. Players position themselves around it.
  2. The youngest player spins the weathervane. This will indicate a foot or a hand (left or right) to put on a colored dot. It executes, and it's the next player's turn.
  3. The difficulty increases as the game progresses, in fact, with each turn, the orders of the weathervane are added, and the players are often in an uncomfortable position.
  4. Players are eliminated if they fall to the ground. Touching the ground with any part of the body other than the hands or feet is considered falling. You cannot, for example, take a knee on the ground.
  5. The last player to fall, or the last player left on the mat, is declared the winner.

FOR THE YOUNGEST:

Did I pay attention to the other person or only to myself?

FOR OLDER CHILDREN:

  • Have there been times in my life when I felt like my mind was being pulled in all directions, torn apart like the Twister?

... address the notion of complex choices, have them give examples

  • How do you move forward? Do you chart your course, despite obstacles, constraints, and difficulties?

#listening #hope

There are many examples of personalities who have left their mark on history, in their own way, despite having experienced terrible difficulties. Sometimes, amid these difficulties, there is hope, strength and perseverance, all virtues that push us to get out of these difficult situations.

Some people speak of their experiences, they encourage, they set an example.

  •  Marc Herremans is a top Belgian athlete who was accidentally paralyzed at the peak of his career. He has now founded a Walk Again association.
  • The film Grandir by Enfants du Mékong features several examples, including Julie, an orphan from the slums who has chosen to live there and teach the youngest children to help them get by.

If you have any additional examples, please add them in the comments.
