...

What we like:

  • Fun, quick and easy activity.
  • Simple, fun and practical to test the knowledge of numbers in English.

Steps

  • Two teams facing each other, with exactly the same number of players.
  • Everyone receives a number orally, without the opposing team being able to hear it (use the same numbers in both teams)
  • The supervisor calls a number aloud. The 2 players with this number enter the game.
  • The first to bring back the scarf on his team's side without being touched by the other wins.
  • The other player can win the game if they successfully hit the player with the scarf.
  • Points are counted, team by team.
  • The supervisor can call other numbers during the game if the two players do not decide to catch the scarf.
  • If the supervisor says "Salad" rather than a number, all players are affected.

CONCRETELY :

  • Is it the smartest or the fastest who always wins?
  • Why is it difficult to bring the scarf back to his camp?

reactivity, feints, speed, stress, confusion when several numbers are called, ...

FOR FURTHER :

  • Did you feel safe when you grabbed the scarf to bring it back to your camp?
  • In daily life, were there situations where you were not completely calm but where you managed to take the initiative, to seize a good opportunity?

#choice #instinct

  • INTUITION: In stressful circumstances, such as the game of the beret, it is never obvious when to take the initiative. We sometimes have the impression that it is not yet the best moment, or that we have missed the best moment, we start thinking again. Or, on the contrary, we rush at the first moment to grab the scarf. Everyone tries to follow their intuition, according to their temperament.
  • CHOICE: In everyday life, we can find ourselves faced with this kind of quick choice to make. We can hesitate or move forward. Neither solution is better than the other. The important thing is to end up making a choice. In this kind of situation, the choice is exciting, stressful. The choice is not always easy.

For example, I choose to go back to my village to see my sick mother or attend my classes at the school where I am enrolled.

  • TAKING INITIATIVE: when I have succeeded in making a choice, thanks to my intuition, my reflection, advice, oriented towards an objective that I deem good, I must move forward. I have to assume my choice and go through with it.

For example, if I chose to go to my sick mother, I have to notify my teachers and those who are affected by my departure, buy my transport ticket, organize myself for my late schoolwork, ...

  • All these initiatives are concrete actions to implement my choice, even if it requires effort or causes difficulties. In professional or family life, a good worker or a good parent is one who takes initiatives so that his project or his family can progress, move towards the good.

Good advice: If you feel that the choice is good, dare to live it to the end!
